Daily, on-going review of ALL science notes is a must in order for students to maintain their understanding of material covered in class. Strategies discussed with students to keep studying relevant and useful, without being overwhelming include (and aren't limited to): - "Chunk" the information. For example, choose to study only about the leg muscles one day, and spend no more than 10 minutes per day on the information. - Find a "Study Buddy" (mom, dad, big brother or sister, etc.) to work with and go over the information. This should be in the form of explaining and discussing, as well as locating parts on your body by pointing to and/or working the area. - Create flashcards, illustrations, songs or cheers to help with learning the information - be creative!
Students are always welcome to come into the classroom during their lunch recess to work with a Student Tutor, or ask me questions.
